In 2012 I was in a gym trying to shift the four stone I had gained from a party lifestyle at University. I had a feeling that three sets of 10 repetitions on the chest press wasn’t going to do the job. I decided to do burpees, jumping over a bench and pick up a dumbbell, moving it from the floor to overhead, in a high intensity, interval training style. Whilst doing this someone approached me and asked if I did CrossFit? Looking confused, I said no, went home and typed CrossFit into YouTube. The first video I watched was the CrossFit Games 2011 Highlights. That video changed my life. I was fully in.
In 2014 I took the CrossFit Level 1 Trainer course, and from there I was on a mission to be one of the best coaches in the world; which today is still my mission and continues to be. In 2017, I decided to dedicate a year of my life to becoming a CrossFit Level 3 Trainer. I took a trip to Bali to work with CrossFit Seminar Staff Coach McCoy Turner, following that trip and months of study, I took the exam and passed. Making me the most qualified CrossFit Trainer in the East of England (as of 19/06/19). My goal is to help people improve their health and fitness. Whether you are a 4-year-old learning how to squat, a 74-year-old trying to climb the stairs or a top-level athlete trying to link a set of 15 ring muscle-ups. I will be there to help you.
One of my favourite things about CrossFit is the hard work and honesty that goes on within the gym. The hours spent there, create amazing friendships and bonds between people who would have never met if it had not been for CrossFit.

Sport and the world of fitness has been a major part of my life. From participating in every sport available at high school, throwing javelin competitively for more than five years and now my love for CrossFit!
In 2016, I found myself in a place where life had gotten in the way and physical activity was no longer a part of my daily routine. I’d gained weight, was suffering with my mental health and felt lost. The gym environment helped me change all of this. I became healthier, happier and fitter and along the way lost the weight I’d gained.
This sparked a passion in me, I wanted to help others find the same happiness through fitness that I had. I developed skills both as a Personal Trainer to help develop and train the body, but also as a Level 4 Sports Massage Therapist to help recover and improve performance. I spent a year working in a commercial gym and realised that the bog-standard sets and reps on resistance machines, followed by steady state cardio wasn't for me. Having trained using the CrossFit prescription of ‘constantly varied, functional movement, performed at high intensity’, I know the impact it can have, and believe my clients and members deserve the same. Because of this I decided to gain my CrossFit Level One Trainer status in 2019, quickly followed by the Level 2.
The CrossFit box is an incredible environment and one I love; it brings together different people from all walks of life and throws you into tough workouts together. There’s no way you can walk away without feeling like you've become part of something.
